BLOG 10 (ARGUMENT)"Children's Television Time"

             

                    Most parents I know worry about how much television their children are watching, but I see very little being done about actually cutting down their children's television time. The average child watches three to four hours of television a day and another two and a half hours more on the television watching movies or playing video games, for a total of six and a half hours of television a day, a little more than half of our children have a television in their bedrooms and three quarters of children eat their dinner in front of the television.
                 All of this television is taking time away from our children's lives, which could be replaced with more crucial and beneficial activities such as reading, exercising  and playing with friends. Instead, Our children are seeing the wrong messages from the programs they are watching, including, sex, violence, drugs, racism, war, bad language and even suicide. That sometimes carry into their everyday lives. Our children are seeing all these adult images before they should.
                  In the world today, it can be said that watching television is also like watching violence. Violence already cannot be prevented on television programs that is why watching television is bad for children because it causes aggressiveness, trauma and desensitization. Television can have positive effects on children but a bigger chance of having negative effects. Television can negatively affect children’s performance in school, lifestyle, career, family and even their future. Would you want that to happen? Think about it.

BLOG 9 (DIVISION-CLASSIFICATION)"3 categories TV programs"

                Formerly, TV now is still the most popular tool to transmit information worldwide. Yet, the reason TV always attracts viewers after such a long time since then is due to its diverse programs. Therefore, TV programs can be classified into 3 categories according to its contents, and three categories can account for positive aspects of TV.

                 Entertainment is the most favorite for many people. Initially, music channels rather attract people of all ages because music always sends listeners to another world in which they can find truly peaceful moments in life . Another kind of entertainment program is movie. Today, people can enjoy watching all day with so many kind of films such as action films, cartoon, ghost films, romantic films, etc. Obviously, I don't need going somewhere else to seek relaxation, but are able to stay at home and enjoy their free time. Generally, entertainment programs always dominates the others because simply they all help viewers relax after a hard day working.

                 Not as exciting as entertainment, but news always makes up largely viewers on earth. In fact, news provides people with lots of latest information; for instance, politics, economics, society, culture,which all impact on human's lives. On the other hand, news allows people to catch up with changes of the world or prices on market so that people probably response. Beside, weather broadcasting is an important program providing latest information about weather condition for which lives, it contains limited viewers because not all people like watching news, particularly children.

                Advertising is a major part when I talk about TV. Obviously, I had all interrupted by various advertisements when I am watching. Today, advertising programs appear greatly on all channels, and they bright producers a huge number of profits. Therefore, I have no way to avoid advertisements but to watch them.

                In conclusion, the contents of TV programs above play an important role in my lives. Yet, these programs should help if I know to choose proper contents that develop our thinking.

BLOG 8 (DEFINITION) "Smart TV."

               

                  Smart television (smart TV) is TV that provides interactive features similar to those involved in Internet or Web services. This includes the ability to search for video or interact with the television in other ways. This can be done through a set-top box or through internal technology in the television, such as an operating system that commands and controls these interactive features.

Samsung defined Smart TVs assets that can run apps, have web browsing capability, smart search and social media connectivity.

                 Their future vision of Smart TV technology includes a convergent content model,content distributed across multiple device touch points. For example, what if you could start watching a movie on your Smartphone during your cab ride home from work but then could easily and seamlessly pick up where you left off on your larger screen the minute you arrive home. 

Sony defined a Smart TV as one that is “connected” for content consumption (e.g apps, entertainment network, etc) but also for interaction with social networks. Additionally, internal or external integration with other content systems (like Google TV) is a must.At Sony their vision for the future of Smart TVs also has to do with convergent content experiences.

LG defined a Smart TV as one that is interactive, connected to the internet and capable of running apps. No one was available to comment at the time about their future vision. 

               Smart TV provides more than just usual viewing experiences. Smart TV is all rounded to give full home entertainment without restriction.  A smart television with high definition allows you to see your favorite movies in 3D and have a dual player gaming mode. The most excellent TVs can be easily linked to the internet in order to handle your business right at the comfort of your home without the need of using a computer.

BLOG 7(COMPARISON OR CONTRAST) "Television&Radio"

                 

                In modern , there are many kinds of electronic media in life. It is very important to help people in works and get information. Almost in everywhere use electronic media. For example radio and television. This things are in every place since in the past time. I can get advantages from radio and television. Some people feels television is better than radio, and some people feels radio is better that television. There are many similarity and differences between radio and television.

                Radio similar with television in many ways. First, kinds of radio is the same as television. Both of them as electronic media. Television need electricity for turn on. Radio also use battery for turn on. Second, radio and television has same advantages. Radio gives many information like news, announcement about something, schedule of program, and entertainment. Similarly,  television also give many information like hot new that happen in my country and other country. Many entertainment which available in television, there is talk show, sing songs program, education program, cooking program and other. Schedule of program or situation of weather also is one of advantages that I can from television. Third, radio and television same has volume and channel. Radio has some button for certain purpose, one of them is volume for control high or low of sound and channel for change to program what I want. Likewise, Television has volume to control hard or soft sound and some channel for change into my favorite program. For these reason there are 3 similarity between radio and television.

              That is similarity between radio and television, now I can found they differences between radio and television.

             There are many differences between radio and television. First, radio and television different in ways of delivery. Radio just audio. I can get information if I heard sound from it. In contrast, Television is audio and visual. Beside I can heard information, I can also watch about fact, something that happen. Second, physical appearance radio is different with television. Radio is smaller than television. In television there is screen and speaker, but in radio has just speaker. Third, radio and television different in price. Television is more expensive than radio. Everyone can buy radio, but can’t television. For these reason there 3 differences between radio and television. So,everyone has different favorite. Now depend the buyer for choose it.

BLOG 6 (CAUSE AND EFFECT) "Negative effects of television"

Television is a entertainment to general public, has good things but, What happen with the negative effects?

              

                 Television is important tool for many things, but no is good when we watch for longer hours that screen, in fact children tend to do that every day they spend at least 3 hours watching television, this is so bad and is very worrying. Something negatives effects of television are the follows:

-Watching television for longer hours is bad for the eyes; it causes irritation, loss of eyesight and other diseases.

-Spend too many hours watching is not healthy, that time we use it for other things such as exercise.

-Television has programs with subliminal messages, that the most times are bad and hurt us, because these subliminal messages can be ideas that go against one, and is a medium where one inadvertently persuades us.

-Some researchers claim that the attention deficit disorders in children are a result of watching television. They say that watching television leads to a developmental disorder in the part of the brain, which is responsible for language skills. Children, who watch television and read less, show difficulties in paying attention or concentrating. Children spending long hours in watching television are susceptible to being affected by attention deficit disorders.

-Television is one of the effective media, which are used to propagate all types of products. Unsupervised television watching in children can lead to an early exposure to a wide variety of things. Television advertisements may influence the children to resort to improper measures. Commercials about fast foods, cold drinks or other such products that are not good for health are bound to leave an impact on children watching them. Attractively presented advertisements and film stories deeply impact young minds, thus influencing the thoughts and behavior of children.

-People watching television, start identifying with what is shown on TV. They relate to television shows and films to such an extent that they get bored of living a normal and simple life. They crave for fame and riches; they yearn for living the lives of their favorite TV characters. This may lead to a high amount of dissatisfaction in the masses. As real life is the contrast of the life portrayed on TV, such TV addicts become hungry for power, money and status.
            Television is a fascinating invent, but not good watching at the TV too, because it produces many negative effects on humans.
